Generative AI Through The Eyes of Gen Z [Infographic]

Seemingly out of nowhere, Generative AI exploded onto the scene at the end of 2022 and has been a fixture in the news ever since.  It has been heralded as the most important technological advancement since the birth of the internet by some, and the harbinger of the end of humanity as we know it by others. Time will tell whether Generative AI delivers on the hype and where exactly it will take us but there is no denying that Generative AI is the story of 2023.

In May 2023 Touchstone Research conducted a ground-breaking Generative AI Awareness, Usage and Attitudes survey with 931 Gen Z students (middle schoolers through college students) to see what they really think about this highly talked about, highly controversial technology.

Methodology

US Sample of 931 middle schoolers, high schoolers, and college students, drawn to provide even distribution across the ages, 50/50 B/G and nationally representative on the basis of US Census region and ethnicity for this age range.
