Virtual Reality is a fast growing technology, however it’s actually been around for about 75 years! A comparison of the 1939 View Master and the 2015 HTC Vive shows how far the technology has come in that time. Gone are the days of clicking through images of the Grand Canyon on a cardboard disk in our View Master; current virtual reality technology allows us to feel as if we are there right now. For over 75 years virtual reality has grown from a simple collection of images, to a completely unique and immersive experience which replicates reality in a way that has never been seen before.
